  • Tie: When the dealer and player tie.
  • Bank: It’s the player’s cash, available to play.
  • Blackjack/Natural Hand: When a hand starts with an Ace and a 10 value card, generating an automatic win.
  • Box: Area for placing bets on games or blackjack rooms.
  • Card Count: Strategy that aims to predict the cards with the highest probability of appearing.
  • Split: Two of the same cards can be split, each generating a new hand and a new bet. Thus, the bets are doubled and the cards are counted separately.
  • Doubling Down: when the player doubles the initial bet, after receiving the first two cards, receiving another one.
  • Chips: Represent in-game money.
  • Hit/Request Card: The player draws a third card.
  • Hole Card: Dealer’s card face down.
  • Hard hand: a hand without an ace or whose ace is worth 1.
  • Soft Hand: Hand whose Ace is worth 11.
  • Insurance: When the dealer’s up card is an Ace, insurance can be purchased. If the dealer makes a blackjack, the player refunds half of their bet.
  • Stand: When the player is satisfied with the hand.
