Horse racing is easy to understand. First we have the jockeys: athletes who ride the animals and lead them around the track. That’s the basics! Therefore, you will always bet on which jockey or horse will be the winner of the race.
Don’t expect to find dozens or hundreds of markets in horse racing betting. This modality is fast and with some variation during the race.
Another fundamental point in the construction of betting markets is that the sport is basically individual. It’s the jockey or horse and nothing else!
Of course, behind the 2 there are coaches and a whole team. These individuals, however, do not interfere during the race.
Even with few markets, betting on race can be quite profitable. Just learn to use the betting markets to your advantage.
- Win
The simplest market to understand and, logically, the simplest to bet on. Simply determine which jockey or horse will win the race.
- Place
Place is a bet with lower odds compared to the Win market. In it you determine that a pair will arrive either in first or second. The chances of your predict coming out the winner are obviously higher. Win doesn’t matter. What counts is being in the top 2.
- Show
The Show bet is “safer” in relation to the Win market. Your horse needs to be in the top 3 for your bet to win.
- Across the Board
A bet on a horse to win, place, and show. If the horse wins, the bettor collects three ways; if second, two ways (place, show); and if third, one way, losing the win and place bets.
- Exotic Bets
We consider exotic bets to be those where we bet on more than one horse at the same time. Of course, this type of bet requires a little more financial investment. Which can pay off, as the gains can also be high.
The popularity of horse racing in Malaysia grows every year. Betting on the sport is unlimited in the country.
