Bruno Caboclo Lands in Germany Team

Bruno Caboclo on Thursday has has signed a deal with the German team, Ratiopharm Ulm until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Upon leaving the G-League, Bruno Caboclo joins another Brazilian in Germany. That’s because Yago Mateus also plays for Ratiopharm Ulm.

In the past, the point guard had great passages through Paulistano and Flamengo.

The sports director of the German team, Thorsten Leibenath, praised the Brazilian athlete. He highlighted its importance on both sides of the court.

“We worked hard and for a long time to have Bruno. We are happy that it worked now. He’s strong on the rebounds and a good blocker.” Leibenath said.

“In addition, he is capable of acting as a defensive anchor. His versatility will also help us in attack.

“He manages to space the court thanks to his good shot. At the same time, he is capable of causing problems like a classic pivot.” he added.

The Ulm city team already tried to sign Caboclo in March 2020. But without success. In his place, they settled with Cristiano Felicio . The former Chicago Bulls player became the first Brazilian to play for the German club.

The forward, in turn, was looking for a place in the NBA. However, he had few chances for Capitanes. In just two games played, he averaged 12 points and five rebounds in 29.3 minutes on the court.

Caboclo signed a short-term contract with the Boston Celtics before settling with the Mexican team. However, the franchise dismissed the Brazilian.

Cabloco, who was elected MVP of the NBB defending São Paulo, returned to the United States. He joined the Utah Jazz to play in the 2022 Summer League.

There were five games played, with three starting. With 21.8 minutes on the court, his averages were 12 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks. In addition, he had a 60% success rate on field shots.
